President Tinubu Concludes UK State Visit with Key Meetings

President Tinubu concluded a two-day state visit to the United Kingdom, where he engaged in meetings with King Charles and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The visit was characterized by cordial interactions, marked by a warm handshake and pleasantries exchanged outside the castle entrance.

A spokesperson described the visit as a demonstration of goodwill and mutual respect between the leaders. During the visit, Tinubu attended a state banquet hosted by the British monarch at Windsor Castle and laid a wreath at the grave of the Unknown Warrior.

He also participated in bilateral discussions with PM Starmer. The visit underscored the strong friendship and wealth of opportunities between the two nations, addressing complex geopolitical issues and emphasizing the importance of close ties as proud Commonwealth partners.

Following the visit, Tinubu and the First Lady were seen off by the Queen Consort and the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, with a royal salute marking their departure.
