JUST IN: President Tinubu Leaves Japan for Brazil

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has left Japan for Brazil as part of his foreign trip. According to a statement from his Special Adviser on Information Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu departed Yokohama on Thursday night and is expected to have a stopover in Los Angeles before heading to Brasília, the Brazilian capital.

The state visit to Brazil is scheduled to begin on August 24. Tinubu had arrived in Yokohama on August 18 after leaving Abuja on August 15 with a brief stop in Dubai.

During his time in Japan, he attended the opening ceremony of the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) on August 20 and engaged in bilateral meetings and interactive sessions with Nigerians in the diaspora.
