Nigerian Soldiers Raid Bandit Hideout, Kill One in Benue Operation

Nigerian soldiers, as part of the Whirl Stroke Operation, conducted a raid on a bandit hideout in Benue state, resulting in the death of one suspect and the recovery of arms. The operation took place in the Ukum Local Government Area, specifically in the Mbagen community.

The troops engaged in a firefight with the bandits, killing the gang leader who managed to escape. Recovered items included rifles, magazines, grenades, radios, ammunition, and a motorcycle.

The military praised the troops for their tactics and gallantry, vowing to sustain offensive operations against criminal groups in the area.
