Wike’s Son Denies Forgery in $2.1M Land Deal Case

Wike’s Son, the son of the FCT Minister, testified in an Abuja court that his signature on a document related to a $2.1 million land transaction was forged and that he had no knowledge of the deal. This testimony occurred during cross-examination in suit CV/008/2026 before Justice Silvanus Oriji of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on September 30, 2026.

The case was initiated by businessman Safwan Garba and GY Global Oil and Gas Limited, who claim they paid $2.1 million to Jordan for a joint property development in Abuja. The claimants allege that after the payment on September 26, 2025, Jordan became unreachable and they discovered the land was not his.

They are seeking a full refund of $2.1 million with 10% interest, N100 million in damages, and legal costs. Jordan, represented by Senior Advocate of Nigeria Ogwu Onoja, denied the claims and stated he had not reported the forgery to the police.

The court has adjourned the matter to December 1, 2, and 14, 2026, for further proceedings.
