Bieber and Burna Boy to Headline World Cup Halftime Show

The first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, featuring an impressive lineup that includes Justin Bieber, Burna Boy, Madonna, Shakira, and BTS. The show will be curated by Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, and will also include Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, a chorus from PS22 in New York, and popular Sesame Street characters like Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.

This event aims to benefit the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which seeks to raise $100 million to support global education and access to soccer for children. Justin Bieber expressed his excitement about the event, stating it brings the world together and contributes positively through the Global Citizen initiative.

Burna Boy will represent Africa by collaborating with Shakira on an anthem titled “Dai Dai,” which blends African sounds with Latin rhythms to celebrate the spirit of soccer. This halftime show marks a significant shift for FIFA, which typically features pre-game entertainment.
