Kaduna State and Partners Renew Commitment to Eradicate Polio in Nigeria

The Kaduna State government, in collaboration with partners like UNICEF, Rotary International, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has recommitted to the final push for eradicating polio in Nigeria. Despite Nigeria being certified wild polio-free, vigilance is crucial as recent cases have been reported in Kaduna State.

The stakeholders highlighted the need for sustained efforts, improved immunization coverage, and community-based surveillance to detect outbreaks early. The World Polio Day commemoration emphasized solidarity and the collective responsibility to ensure every child is protected through vaccination.
