Kaduna Police Neutralize Bandits, Seize 30 Firearms

The Kaduna State Police Command reported significant successes in combating banditry, neutralizing suspected bandits and recovering at least 30 firearms during recent operations. The operations, disclosed by Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad during a press briefing, were conducted over the past two weeks and targeted bandit camps in Kajuru, Tafa, and Igabi Local Government Areas.

A fierce gun battle ensued, leading to the neutralization of several suspects, while others escaped with gunshot wounds. The police also arrested five gunrunners, seizing a variety of firearms, including three English-made AK-47 rifles, 21 locally fabricated firearms, and a large quantity of hard drugs believed to supply criminal elements.

Notably, Adamu Aminu was arrested in Jaji Town on February 20, with a cache of firearms, while Abubakar Hassan was apprehended in connection with the case. The police emphasized their commitment to dismantling criminal networks and ensuring justice.
