Gov. Yusuf Orders Emirs to Hold Annual Durbar Festival at Kanfest 2025 in Kano State

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has directed four Emirs in the state to stage the annual Durbar tradition of horse riding to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of the people. This directive was given during the opening of the 3-day Kanfest Kalankuwa 2025 event held at the Kano Trade Fair Complex.

The event aims to celebrate Kano's cultural diversity, empower and engage youth and women, foster global partnerships, and place Kano on the world's cultural map. Governor Yusuf pledged full support from the state government and Emirs to ensure the preservation of centuries-old traditions and strengthen the showcasing of Kano to the world.
