APC in Kano Rejects Kwankwaso's Return, Alleging Misinterpretation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano has rejected the return of former Governor Kwankwaso to the party. The APC Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Aruwa, refuted Kwankwaso's claims of being welcomed back, stating that the party would win the 2027 election without his influence.

Aruwa also mentioned that Kwankwaso had previously joined the APC under certain conditions that are no longer acceptable. On the other hand, Kwankwaso's ally, Buba Galadima, clarified that Kwankwaso's intention to rejoin the APC was misinterpreted.

Galadima highlighted that Kwankwaso was responding to agitation from members of the NNPP to defect from the APC. The conflicting statements indicate a political rift in Kano's APC landscape.
