Gwarzo Advocates for Political Tolerance in Kano Elections

Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the Kano State governorship candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), urged political leaders and supporters to embrace tolerance and mutual respect to foster democracy and national unity. In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, to commemorate the International Day of Democracy on September 15, Gwarzo emphasized that political power is temporary, and relationships among citizens should remain intact.

He called for fair competition, urging that political differences should not lead to hatred or violence. Gwarzo also appealed to governments and security agencies to ensure a conducive environment for opposition parties and equal protection for all political entities.

He encouraged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to maintain impartiality and a level playing field for all parties. Gwarzo highlighted that Nigerians prioritize issues like insecurity and unemployment over political disputes and urged young Nigerians to engage actively in the democratic process.
