Kano Hospital Suspends Staff After Patient's Death Due to Negligence

The Kano State Hospital Management Board has suspended three staff members following the death of Aishatu Umar due to negligence at the Abubakar Imam Urology Center. The incident involved scissors left in the patient, leading to her demise.

Dr. Mansur Mudi Nagoda, the board's executive secretary, initiated a preliminary investigation and ordered the immediate suspension of the staff members connected to the case.

The board expressed condolences to the bereaved family and emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for negligence in state health facilities. They assured the public of continued oversight to prevent such incidents in the future.
