Kano-Maradi Railway Project Reaches 60% Completion, Extension to Dutse Underway

Minister of Transportation, Said Alkali, announced that the Kano-Maradi Railway project is at 60% completion, with an extension to Dutse, Jigawa State also progressing. The ongoing rail modernization project has seen significant advancements, with plans for completion and commissioning by December 2026.

Additionally, the Federal Executive Council approved the construction of modern Bus Terminals across various geopolitical zones to enhance public safety and passenger welfare. The railway project aims to improve transportation efficiency and connectivity, with the extension set to benefit multiple states in Nigeria.
