Kano Pillars Football Club Slammed With Heavy Sanctions for Fan Violence

Kano Pillars football club has been heavily sanctioned by the NPFL for fan violence during a match against Shoot Star Sports Club (3SC Ibadan). The sanctions include a total fine of 9.5 million Naira, deduction of 3 points and 3 goals, and the indefinite closure of Sani Abacha Stadium.

The club was found guilty of multiple breaches of the league's rules, such as failing to provide adequate security and physical assault on players and match officials. Kano Pillars must also relocate their home games to Katsina State until they guarantee safety measures.

The NPFL has given the club 48 hours to accept the punishment or appeal to a disciplinary panel.
