NPFL Penalizes Kano Pillars: Deducts Points, Imposes Fine, and Bans Home Games

Kano Pillars, a team in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL), has faced severe sanctions for multiple violations of league rules, including inadequate security, crowd control issues, and misconduct leading to chaos during a match at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano. The NPFL fined Kano Pillars N9.5 million, deducted three points, and banned them from playing their next 10 home games in Katsina.

The club has also been ordered to identify and prosecute those responsible for the pitch invasion. Failure to comply may result in further penalties.

The NPFL emphasizes a zero-tolerance policy towards hooliganism to maintain safety and integrity in Nigerian football.
