Kano Police Arrest 107 Suspects in Major Operation, Commissioner Commends Officers

Kano State Police Command arrested 107 suspects in various operations conducted across the state in August 2025. Commissioner of Police Dr.

Ibrahim Adamu Bakori commended the officers for their efforts in apprehending individuals involved in offenses such as armed robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, and more. The arrests were made under the special operation "Operation Kukan Kura," aimed at reclaiming public spaces from criminal elements.

Since its launch on July 1, 2025, the operation has led to the recovery of 473 dangerous weapons, illicit drugs, vehicles, and motorcycles. The Police Commissioner highlighted the success of the operation in reducing crime in the state.
