Kano State Water Board Triples Revenue, Pays Staff Salaries Comfortably

Kano State Water Board has significantly increased revenue by 300%, now collecting N160 million monthly, up from less than N50 million. The State Commissioner for Water Resources, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa, revealed this achievement, attributing it to reforms introduced by the Ministry.

This boost in revenue has enabled the board to comfortably pay staff salaries and improve services. The Ministry also conducted a census of industries in the state to enhance operations and revenue generation.

This milestone comes after years of efforts to revamp the water sector in Kano State.
