Kaspersky Warns of AI Cyberattacks on Hotel Guests in Nigeria

Kaspersky's global research team has identified a new wave of cyberattacks targeting hotel guests using AI-powered techniques. The threat group named "RevengeHotel" aims to steal financial information from visitors.

Hotels in countries like Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria are being targeted, posing a significant risk of data theft for guests. The attacks involve phishing emails disguised as legitimate requests, making it challenging for hotel staff to detect.

Lisandro Ubiedo, an expert from Kaspersky, highlights the increasing sophistication of these attacks, emphasizing the need for heightened cybersecurity measures in the hospitality industry.
