Katsina State Boosts Agribusiness Investment with New Processing Factory

The Katsina State government has partnered with private sector investors to set up an agro-allied processing factory in Tashar Bala village, Batagarawa Local Government Area. This initiative is part of a pilot agricultural investment framework aimed at promoting inclusive land-intensive agriculture investments.

The project is designed to benefit smallholder farmers by structuring the agricultural market and creating employment opportunities. The state government has also established a technical committee to ensure the smooth operation of the project, which includes capacity-building workshops for key stakeholders.

Ibrahim Tukur Jikamshi, the Director-General of KIPA, highlighted the focus on skill and technology transfer to improve market access for farmers.
