Takamoto Katsuta Wins First WRC Title at Kenya Safari Rally

Takamoto Katsuta secured his first World Rally Championship (WRC) victory at the Kenya Safari Rally, marking a significant milestone as he became the first Japanese driver to win a WRC rally since Kenjiro Shinozuka triumphed at the Ivory Coast Rally in 1992. Katsuta's victory came during his 94th WRC start, where he finished with a time that was 27.4 seconds faster than his nearest competitor, Adrien Fourmaux from Hyundai.

Toyota's Sami Pajari claimed third place in the rally. Additionally, Elfyn Evans from Toyota maintained his lead in the driver championship standings with a total of 66 points.
