Kebbi Governor Nasir Idris Passes APC Screening for 2027

On Friday, Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State successfully passed the screening process conducted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, paving the way for his bid for a second term in the upcoming 2027 governorship election. The screening was chaired by Nentaw Yilwatda from Plateau State, who announced the outcome and congratulated Idris for meeting the party's requirements.

Governor Idris expressed gratitude to the APC leadership for approving his candidacy and pledged to continue delivering development across Kebbi State. He emphasized that his second term would focus on various sectors, including the economy.

The screening exercise included senior party officials and government functionaries, such as Kebbi APC Chairman Abubakar Kana Zuru and former Governor Said Usman Nasamu Dakingari. Idris succeeded former Governor Atiku Bagudu and has focused on infrastructure, education, agriculture, and civil service reform during his administration.
