Kebbi Govt Confirms Two Schoolgirls Escape from Captivity in Abduction Incident

In Kebbi State, Nigeria, two schoolgirls managed to escape from captivity after being abducted along with 24 others from the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School in Maga. Halima Band, the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, confirmed the escape and clarified that a total of 26 students were abducted during the attack.

The girls who escaped were identified as Salma Hauwa U Liman. The Kebbi State Government assured the public of the safety of the escaped girls and urged against spreading unverified information.

The incident occurred when armed assailants invaded the school, killing the vice principal and abducting 20 students.
