Kebbi LG Chairman Denies Misconduct Allegations Amid Petition Controversy

The Chairman of Maiyama Local Government in Kebbi State, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Liba, has rejected allegations of misconduct in a petition submitted by the Maiyama Local Government Progress Union to the Kebbi State House of Assembly. The petition accused him of misusing council resources, but Liba defended himself, stating that the allegations were unfounded and politically motivated.

He clarified that the projects mentioned in the petition, including an electrification project, were completed and approved. Alhaji Haruna Musa supported Liba's statement, confirming the completion of the electrification project.

The chairman urged residents to remain calm and follow the law as investigations continue.
