Keyamo Confirms Suspension Of Planned Strike By Aviation Unions

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Keyamo, has confirmed the suspension of the planned strike by aviation unions. The National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSAN), Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP), and Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUCPTRE) had earlier disclosed the strike in a statement.

The unions decided to suspend the strike due to positive feedback and intervention from stakeholders. The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) assured staff of efforts to ensure the payment of new remuneration along with August salaries.

Keyamo expressed happiness over the suspension of the strike and reiterated ongoing efforts to address and resolve issues in the aviation sector.
