Kidnappers Of Ondo Varsity Workers Arrested
Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a staff member of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) in Ondo State. The victim, Omoniyi Eleyinmi, from the Faculty of Education, was abducted from his house on Akoko Road last week.
He was taken to an undisclosed location and released on Sunday after an undisclosed ransom was paid. A viral video showed the suspects sharing the money they had collected for Eleyinmi's release in a forest near Ago Panu village in Oba Akoko.
Local hunters assisted in the arrest of the suspects, who are currently undergoing profiling and interrogation. The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects are connected to the kidnapping of two AAUA lecturers.
The Commissioner of Police has directed for a thorough investigation into the matter.
