Klopp Favored to Replace Nagelsmann as Germany Coach

Jurgen Klopp is emerging as the leading candidate to succeed Julian Nagelsmann as the coach of the Germany national football team, according to a report by the German tabloid Bild. This comes after Germany's disappointing exit in the last 32 of the World Cup, marked by a shocking loss to Paraguay.

Nagelsmann, who is 38 years old, has a contract with the German FA (DFB) that is set to run until 2028, with an annual salary reportedly around seven million euros. Following the team's failure, DFB president Bernd Neuendorf announced an immediate investigation into the World Cup performance.

Klopp, the former Liverpool manager, is currently engaged with Red Bull overseeing a multi-club network but is seen as the overwhelming favorite to take over the national team. The investigation into Nagelsmann's performance is expected to commence next week.
