Kogi Governor Unveils N820.49bn Budget for 2026, Focuses on Growth and Development

Kogi State Governor Ahm Usman Ododo has approved a draft budget of N820.49 billion for 2026, representing a 35.7% increase from the 2025 revised budget. The budget, titled "Budget to Share Prosperity," aims to boost internal revenue, strengthen debt recovery, foster a business-friendly environment, and deepen public-private partnerships.

It emphasizes enhancing revenue generation, strategic expenditure control, and significant investment in capital projects. The budget also highlights efforts to combat insecurity, improve infrastructure, and ensure service delivery.
