Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has confirmed the release date for the second season of the epic series "Anikulapo," scheduled to debut on January 30, 2026. The new season, which was announced on Afolayan's Instagram on January 4, 2026, was shot in Ghana in partnership with the country's film authorities.

The second season will feature new cast members, including Okusaga Adeoluwa, Antar Laniyan, Saidi Balogun, Teniola Alades, and Nico Claudio. The first installment of the series premiered on Netflix on March 1, 2024, and garnered significant attention among Nigerian entertainment enthusiasts.
