Kwara Governor Inspects Progress of Conference Centre

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq inspected the ongoing construction of the International Conference Centre in Ilorin. During the visit, he assessed various sections of the facility and expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being executed.

The governor was accompanied by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Jiddah, and the construction manager, Kola Olowooker, who briefed him on the project's status. Abdulrazaq highlighted the importance of the centre in strengthening the state's service-driven economy and expressed optimism that the project would be completed by the end of the year.

He commended the quality of construction work and urged the contractor to maintain high standards until completion. The International Conference Centre is designed to position Ilorin as a hub for conferences, innovation, and tourism, with expectations to host major national and international events, thereby stimulating the local economy and creating opportunities in various sectors.
