Kwara: Kidnap victims escape as security forces raid criminal hideouts

Dozens of kidnap victims held in a criminal hideout in Babasango community, Kwara, managed to escape following a successful security operation in the Ifelodun local government area. Security forces confirmed the operation's modest success despite facing an ambush by criminals, resulting in the elimination of several criminals and the escape of many victims.

A community leader in Babanla corroborated the statement, noting that many victims had been seen in the area since the operation. The government source explained that the victims were able to flee as the security forces dislodged the abductors.

While some criminals died in the encounter, others fled to safety. The security crackdown is ongoing to ensure that all criminals are completely chased out of the state, with continued efforts to root out criminal activities.
