Fani-Kayode Raises Alarm Over Genocide in Kwara State, Urges Swift Action

Former Minister of Aviation and Ambassador, Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned the recent killings in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, labeling them as genocide rather than a religious conflict. The attacks, which have resulted in the deaths of 160 Nigerians, were not targeted at a specific faith group, as victims from both Christian and Muslim communities were affected.

Fani-Kayode emphasized that religion was not the motivation behind the violence, urging for swift action to prevent further loss of lives and restore calm in the affected communities. He called on the federal government to establish a permanent military base in Kwara State to enhance security and prevent future attacks.

Fani-Kayode also raised concerns about alleged internal collaboration aiding the attacks, undermining the efforts of the state and federal authorities to address the situation.
