KW-HMB to Upgrade Tsaragi Cottage Hospital for Better Care

The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KW-HMB) has prioritized the rehabilitation of Tsaragi Cottage Hospital located in Edu Local Government Area. During a visit to the Etsu Tsaragi, Alhaji Aliyu Abdullahi Kpotum, Executive Secretary Dr Abdulraheem Malik outlined plans for infrastructure improvements, modern medical equipment, and digitalisation.

The visit included an inspection of the hospital to evaluate its current infrastructure, equipment, staffing, and service capacity. Malik emphasized that these interventions aim to strengthen secondary healthcare facilities across Kwara State and improve access to quality medical services.

He stated that enhancing the facility would reduce the need for residents to travel long distances for medical treatment. Malik also encouraged local residents to utilize the cottage hospital to support its sustainability.

The Etsu Tsaragi expressed gratitude for the Board's efforts and assured support from the traditional institution in promoting the hospital's services. Dr Femi Joseph, Director of Medical Services at KW-HMB, also acknowledged the traditional ruler's cooperation.
