Kwara United Hopes to Host Kotoko in Ilorin for Federation Cup Amid Stadium Uncertainty

Kwara United aims to host Ghana’s Kotoko in Ilorin for the 2025 Federation Cup despite stadium uncertainties. The first leg was held in Kumasi on September 21, with the return fixture scheduled in Nigeria on September 28.

The club is awaiting CAF inspection results to finalize the decision. Renovation work is ongoing at the Ilorin stadium, with the club in close contact with the NFF for updates.

Meanwhile, Remo Stars have been approved to host their Champions League game in Abeokuta. Kwara United may have to play in Abeokuta if Ilorin is not approved.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has promised support for stadium readiness, emphasizing the government's commitment to the team.
