José Mourinho, the current coach of Real Madrid, disclosed how he persuaded Brazilian forward Vinícius Jr to remain with the club. He directly contacted Vinícius, questioning where he could possibly go after becoming accustomed to life at Real Madrid.

Mourinho stated, “I called Vini Jr and told him: Vini, where do you want to go? You only know Real Madrid.” He explained that Vinícius would only understand the significance of Real Madrid after leaving.

Mourinho warned him, “Don’t go,” and insisted that moving away from the club would not be worthwhile, declaring, “It’s not worth it!” Vinícius Jr has established himself as one of Real Madrid’s key attacking players since joining the team. Amid speculation regarding his future, particularly interest from Premier League side Arsenal, Vinícius signed a new six-year contract with Real Madrid, effectively ending any uncertainty about his position at the club.
