Nkeiruka Onyejeocha Resigns from Tinubu's Cabinet

Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, announced her resignation from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s cabinet on Friday. In a public message shared on her official X account, she described her exit as the closing of one phase and the beginning of another in her public service journey.

Onyejeocha expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve in his administration and thanked the staff of the ministry and Nigerians for their support during her tenure. Her resignation comes in light of the president's request for political appointees to prepare for the 2027 elections.

Onyejeocha has represented the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi federal constituency in the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2023 and is preparing to return to the National Assembly to seek the seat she previously occupied.
