Abure: Labour Party Not a Troublemaker, Heads to Supreme Court

Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party, asserted that the party, under his leadership, is not a troublemaker. He made this statement during an interview with Arise Television on Wednesday.

Abure's comments come in response to a recent ruling by the Court of Appeal, which dismissed a suit challenging the legitimacy of Nnadi Usman as the authentic national chairman of the Labour Party. Abure confirmed that his loyalists intend to appeal this ruling at the Supreme Court.

The Court of Appeal's decision was delivered unanimously by a three-member panel of justices in Abuja. Abure emphasized that the Labour Party's leadership is not involved in creating trouble and is preparing to challenge the appellate court's judgment.

He noted that the party had already been involved in litigation regarding the leadership issue and is now set to take the matter to the Supreme Court.
