Esoterica Named Apple Music's Up Next Act in Nigeria

Esoterica, an alt-pop artist based in Lagos, has been selected as Apple Music's Up Next act in Nigeria. This program aims to spotlight emerging talent and has previously featured artists who have broken into mainstream audiences.

Esoterica's music is characterized by a blend of folk, soul, hip-hop, rock, pop, and Afro-house, making her difficult to categorize while earning her a loyal following within Lagos's indie community. She began her music journey in London in 2019 before relocating to Lagos in 2020.

Esoterica has released several singles, including "Goldmin" and "Think Decis," and contributed to Peruzzi's album "Sabali." Her latest single, "4 Dai," was released last month. Beyond her music, she co-founded the Space Indie Music Collective to support alternative artists and runs a free live music platform focused on amplifying African women's voices.

Esoterica is set to release a six-track debut EP that reflects her experimental and emotional approach to music.
