Lagos APC hits back at Atiku over EFCC allegations

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has responded to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's recent allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The APC accused Atiku of trying to distort facts and discredit national institutions in a bid to intimidate opposition figures ahead of the 2023 general election.

The party's Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, defended President Bola Tinubu's commitment to the rule of law and denied any interference in the EFCC's operations. Oladejo criticized Atiku for hypocrisy and urged him to focus on addressing unresolved issues surrounding his public record instead of peddling conspiracy theories.

The APC dismissed Atiku's comments as political grandstanding and called on Nigerians to support efforts to combat corruption and promote national prosperity. The party emphasized the importance of allowing law enforcement agencies to carry out their duties without interference or blackmail.
