Tambuwal: ADC, Obidient Movement fume as EFCC allegedly targets coalition leaders

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Obidient Movement expressed outrage as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly targeted prominent opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general election. The ADC accused the EFCC of conducting selective investigations to intimidate opposition politicians, claiming that the recent actions were politically motivated.

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar criticized the EFCC's alleged partisan deployment, warning that it could lead to dictatorship. Atiku urged Nigerians, civil society groups, and the international community to resist the politicization of institutions like the EFCC.

Aide to Atiku, Paul Ibe, accused President Bola Tinubu and the ruling party of deploying state institutions to coerce opposition politicians into joining the APC ahead of the elections. The ADC vowed to mobilize Nigerians against what they described as a satanic agenda to undermine democracy and freedom of speech.
