Lagos APC Delays Exco Inauguration After Official's Death

The Lagos State chapter of the APC announced the postponement of the inauguration of its newly elected executive committee due to the sudden death of Karamo Yesiro, the elected assistant public secretary. This decision was confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday, expressing profound shock and sorrow over Yesiro's passing.

The party described his loss as painful and noted that he had just been entrusted with responsibilities to serve on the state executive council. The inauguration was originally scheduled for Thursday morning at the APC secretariat in Ogba.

Party leaders planned to visit Yesiro's family to offer condolences. Sources within the party indicated that the inauguration would be rescheduled for Friday.

The newly elected state executive committee, which will serve a four-year term, is led by chairman Moshood Olanrewaju, with Adeola Jokomba as deputy chairman, Azizat Mariam as secretary, Sey Oladejo as assistant secretary, Babajid Sundai as vice chairman, Shola Eletu as woman leader, and Ayodel Adewal as organizing secretary.
