Lagos APC Postpones Exco Inauguration After Yesiro's Death

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the postponement of the inauguration of its newly elected executive council due to the death of Karamo Yesiro, the recently elected assistant public secretary. The inauguration was originally planned for Wednesday following the party's congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Stadium in Onikan on Tuesday.

Sey Oladejo, the party's public secretary, expressed profound shock and sorrow over Yesiro's sudden demise, describing it as a tragic loss for the party at a time when commitment and passion for political progress are essential. The party leadership decided to shift the inauguration to Friday to honor Yesiro's memory.

The newly elected Lagos APC executive council, which will serve a four-year term, is led by Cornelius Ojelabi and includes other key figures such as Moshood Olanrewaju as deputy chairman and Adeola Jokomba as secretary. The congress was attended by notable figures, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat.
