Remi Odunsi Announces Candidacy for Kosofe Reps Seat

Remi Odunsi, a businesswoman and philanthropist, has officially declared her candidacy for the House of Representatives seat representing the Kosofe Federal Constituency in Lagos State, running under the platform of the Progressive Congress (APC). Her media aide, Gbemiga Jacob, disclosed this information in a statement shared on Monday.

Odunsi aims to focus on youth employment, small business growth, and access to basic services. A graduate in Management Accounting from a university, she is a certified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has undergone executive training at Lagos Business School, Harvard, and EDHEC.

Currently, she serves as the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eridan Group and holds non-executive roles in various organizations. Odunsi has been involved in community development initiatives, including skill acquisition programs that have benefited 4,000 participants.

Her legislative agenda includes establishing skill enterprise centers and improving access to finance for women-owned businesses, with a goal to train 10,000 young people and support at least 3,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises. The elections are scheduled for February 2027.
