Lagos Continental Hotel Partners to Boost Hospitality Training

Lagos Continental Hotel has entered a strategic partnership with DGIC International Business Services Ltd to support the development of Nigeria's next generation of hospitality professionals. This collaboration aims to provide selected young Nigerians with structured workplace exposure in a five-star hotel environment, combining classroom knowledge with practical experience.

The initiative reflects the growing importance of public-private partnerships in advancing Nigeria's capacity-building efforts. Mr.

Adedotun Adeoy, Head of Competence Centre Skill Development at DGIC, announced that the partnership will implement the African Skill Germany (AS4G) program, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). Selected participants will undergo practical hospitality training at Lagos Continental Hotel before relocating to Germany for a three-year vocational training program.

Mr. Christoph Schleiss, General Manager of Lagos Continental Hotel, emphasized the commitment to developing future hospitality professionals through this partnership, which aims to enhance technical competencies and align with international hospitality standards.
