Lagos Ex-LP Guber Candidate Joins ADC, Calls for Strong Opposition Coalition

Former Lagos Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Rhodes-Vivour, has defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) citing the need for a united opposition coalition to rescue Nigeria ahead of the 2027 elections. Rhodes-Vivour condemned the police's sealing of the party's meeting venue, emphasizing the constitutional right to hold political gatherings.

He stressed the importance of a robust coalition to combat thuggery and ensure effective governance. The ADC Chairman in Lagos, George Ashiru, hailed the defection as a significant step towards building a strong opposition coalition.
