Lagos Government in Talks for Second Private Refinery to Boost Investments

The Lagos State Government, led by Dr. Oluyinka Abiodun Olumide, is actively discussing the establishment of a second private refinery in the state.

This initiative, announced during an economic roundtable, aims to attract major industrial and petrochemical investments beyond the existing Dangote Refinery. The government emphasizes the importance of private sector participation in large-scale projects, highlighting the need for viable opportunities for investors.

The plan includes accommodating major capital-intensive developments to create jobs, strengthen the energy sector, and enhance industrial capacity in Lagos.
