Tinubu Excited About Lagos International Financial Centre

President Bola Tinubu expressed enthusiasm regarding the establishment of the Lagos International Financial Centre (LIFC), as revealed by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. This disclosure occurred during a welcome dinner honoring a delegation for a foreign direct investment training program held at the Moller Institute, University of Cambridge, England.

The event was organized by TheCityUK and funded by the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office of the United Kingdom. Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of Tinubu's support for the LIFC initiative, which aims to position Nigeria favorably in the global financial landscape.

He highlighted the need for leadership and ownership in the project, expressing confidence that the LIFC would attract significant stakeholders, including international organizations and regulatory agencies. Co-chairman of the LIFC Council, Aigboj Aig Imoukhued, also expressed optimism about the project's potential, underscoring the commitment of the private sector to its success.
