Lagos Makes Reflective Jackets Compulsory for Delivery Riders for Night Safety

Lagos State Government mandated delivery riders to wear reflective jackets with visibility tape for night operations to enhance safety. The directive, effective immediately, aims to reduce accidents involving courier riders.

The statement signed by Olawale Musa, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, emphasized compliance for riders using motorcycles or bicycles for deliveries. Enforcement will be overseen by agencies like LASTMA and the Vehicle Inspection Service.

Leading delivery company Glovo Nigeria has pledged to provide reflective vests to its riders for free, ensuring adherence to the new safety regulation.
