Lagos Police to Prosecute NURTW Leader Over Rider's Death

The Lagos Police are set to arraign a NURTW leader following the death of a dispatch rider, Adio, in a violent altercation on Tapa Street, Lagos Island. Adio, aged 55, was allegedly beaten by the union leader and his associates after a minor accident involving the rider scratching the leader's vehicle.

Eyewitnesses reported that Adio was repeatedly struck and later died from his injuries in the hospital. The suspect is currently held at the State Criminal Investigation Department awaiting arraignment.

The Lagos State House Assembly has condemned the incident, emphasizing the need for justice to be served.
