Ibadan Driver Faces Trial for Threatening Lawmaker's Life

In Ibadan, a driver named Nurudeen Ogunbona was arraigned at the Iyaganku Chief Magistrates Court for allegedly threatening the life of his boss, Hon. Adedapo.

Ogunbona pleaded guilty to the charge of causing a breach of peace by sending threatening text messages and voice notes to the lawmaker in July. The prosecution argued that Ogunbona's actions could incite public disorder and posed a serious threat to the safety of the complainant.

The Chief Magistrate granted the defendant bail with two sureties, emphasizing that one must be a relative of the accused.
