Atletico Madrid Takes Barcelona to FIFA Over Alvarez Transfer

Atletico Madrid has initiated a complaint to FIFA against their La Liga rivals, Barcelona, regarding the transfer pursuit of Argentine striker Julian Alvarez. Alvarez has publicly declared his intention to leave Atletico Madrid this summer, expressing a strong desire to join Barcelona, which he considers his dream club.

Atletico's CEO, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, has made it clear that the club will not sell Alvarez, particularly to Barcelona, stating that they are fully aware of the situation and have no intention of allowing the transfer. Additionally, Atletico Madrid has already rejected a €150 million bid from Real Madrid for the 26-year-old player.

Gil Marin emphasized that the club's position is clear and that they are committed to retaining Alvarez despite his aspirations to move elsewhere.
