Mourinho Confirms Ceballos' Contract Termination at Madrid
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho revealed that Dani Ceballos' contract with the club was terminated following a brief conversation. Mourinho informed Ceballos that he was not included in his plans for the team.
During this discussion, Ceballos expressed his desire to have his contract cut short, allowing him the freedom to decide his future. Mourinho stated, “I spoke to him for three minutes on the phone when I first got here,” and emphasized that Ceballos agreed to terminate his contract rather than remain with the club without a role.
Following the termination, Ceballos returned to Real Betis as a free agent, indicating a proactive approach to his career after being sidelined at Real Madrid.
